Привіт, мене звати Катаріна Мазур! I am a composer, vocalist, harpist, painter, poet, collector and sculptor.
I hold a B.M. in Technology in Music and Related Arts (TIMARA) and a B.A. in Studio Art from Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music’s Dual Degree Program. In 2022, I recieved the HUSI scholarship to complete Summer coursework at the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute. In May 2023, I completed an M.A. degree in Music Composition at Wesleyan University. My thesis explored concepts of survival, wildness, and contamination in Ukrainian neotraditional music. In 2026, I was accepted to study composition at the University of Pennsylvania! I am currently based in Brooklyn, NY and Philadelphia, PA.
In my spiral shell world, the voice is the language of the heart and immediacy is the realization of Spirit. I hope to enliven the senses while honoring my awareness of place with care for all beings on every plane.
