Привіт, мене звати Катаріна Мазур! I am a composer, vocalist, harpist, accordionist, dancer, painter, poet, collector and sculptor.
I hold a B.M. in Technology in Music and Related Arts (TIMARA) and a B.A. in Studio Art from Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music’s Dual Degree Program. In 2022, I recieved the HUSI scholarship to complete Summer coursework at the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute. In May 2023, I completed an M.A. degree in Music Composition at Wesleyan University. My thesis explored concepts of survival, wildness, and contamination in Ukrainian neotraditional music. In 2025, I was accepted to study Ukrainian ethnomusicology at the University of Pittsburgh under Adriana Helbig.
In my spiral shell world, the voice is the language of the heart and immediacy is the realization of Spirit. I hope to enliven the senses while honoring my awareness of place with care for all beings on every plane.
